1. From this page download the Chainfire CF-Auto-Root package; place the file on your computer (preferable on your desktop).
2. Don’t unzip the root package.
3. Connect your Xperia Z2 with your computer by plugin in your USB cable.
4. Then transfer the root file from desktop to your phone and finally unplug the USB cord and turn off your device.
Enter recovery mode on your Sony Xperia Z2.
5. From recovery select “install zip from sd card” followed by “choose zip from sd card”.
Just pick the root package from your device and flash the same.
